Illustrious S.T. Davis, 33° was born January 11, 1922 in Clay County, Georgia to Rosa Bell Johnson and Rix Davis. S.T. was a self educated man and was employed for many years at City Ice Company before becoming self-employed. He was affectionately known by many as ICE MAN. He worked as a Longshoreman at the Port of Miami.

His service at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church began under the pastorate of Rev. Ross in Overtown. He was an active member and served as a trustee and usher until his health began to fail.

In December 2002, he was honored with a Lifetime Trustee Award by Pastor Gaston Smith.

He was inducted in the Mason Lodge April 10, 1954. He raised the ladder to the State of Florida Grand Joint Council President. He also was very instrumental in setting up the Grand Bahamas Island Masonic Lodge and then later became the Southeast National District Grand Master overseeing six states: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
